What is BLS Anytime?

BLS Anytime is the fastest and easiest way to get your American Heart Association BLS Certification.

It consists of 2 parts - online learning that is done on your computer and a hands-on skills test at a SureFire CPR location. The skills are done on a live-feedback manikin with no instructor present. You are allowed to retake the skills as many times as needed until you pass and you’ll receive your BLS certification immediately after completing the hands-on skills.

Is BLS Anytime approved by the American Heart Association?

Yes, you receive the same 2-Year BLS certification card as traditional instructor-led training. This course has been designed and approved by the American Heart Association and is 100% guaranteed to be accepted everywhere.

How is the course offered 24 hours per day?

The online portion of the course is done on your computer. Some of our skills locations are open 24/7. If you sign up for a time outside of normal business hours you will be provided an access code to enter the building.

How long is the BLS Anytime class?

The online portion uses adaptive learning software - meaning it speeds up or slows down relative to how quickly you answer questions and what percentage you answer correctly. The online portion can range from 25 minutes to 2 hours. The skills sessions are typically between 15 and 30 minutes, but you have an hour to complete the hands-on skills.

What if I don’t pass?

You are able to take the online portion of the class and skills as many times as necessary until you complete them successfully. If you have questions during the skills our team will be available by phone to assist you (during normal business hours). 

In the very unlikely event that you are unable to complete the hands-on skills in the hour provided, we will happily schedule you for another available time slot or move you to a traditional instructor led class at no additional charge!

How do I receive my certification card?

Immediately after completing the skills session, you will be able to choose which email address you want your Heart Association BLS eCard sent. No waiting!
